For a German-Kenyan film production in cooperation with KIbera Film School, we are looking for the following characters:
Production period: Wednesday, 15th February-Wednesday 22nd February
Protagonist: about 16-20years old, speaks Swahili, medium sized, skinny around 5'8'' tall boy, soft face, structure, great eyes sympathetic looking
Grandmother: about 65years old, grey hair, wrinkles, about 5'tall small curvy/molly
Mother: 35 years old normal statue, friendly looking
Headmaster: 40 years old tall mustache, strong build intelligent look
Friend 1 and 2: same age as protagonist one funny normal statue and one shy skinny guy
Doctor: 35-50 years old tall around 6' smart good looking really short hair or bald
Mother nature: 20-35 years old around 6' athletic slim naturally beautiful
Secretary: 25-30years old female unimposing plain
Extras:
Pupils 14-18 years old: 5 for bus scene
Pupils 16-18 years old : 8 for classroom scene
with the same ratio of boys and girls
Bus driver: Creepy
Be prepared and know which role you are auditioning for. Please read the character briefs carefully to see if you really fit in.
Please note that if selected, we will not be paying the actresses/actor for the work. We will however provide transport to the set, accommodation if necessary and food during the shoot.
For preparation it would be useful, if you are familiar with the dialogue script for presenting at the casting day. The dialogues are available on request via email projects@hotsunfoundation.org
